大福帳
大福帳は江戸時代から明治･大正のころまで一般に使用された帳簿の一種で、現在においては顧客のビッグデータベースと同等のものです。
帳簿を商っていた鍵屋清左衛門が「大福帳」と銘打った帳簿を売り出したのが始まりとされています。縁起をかつぐ江戸の人々に歓迎され「大福帳」という名前が普及しました。
このようなエピソードから、商売繁盛をもたらす縁起物として知られています。
商人は店が火事になると真っ先に大福帳を持って井戸に逃げこみ守ったといわれるほど重要なものでした。
Daifuku-cho
(Big Blessing Ledger)
Daifuku-cho is a type of ledger book commonly used from the Edo period to the Meiji and Taisho periods, and is equivalent to a big database of customers today.
It is said that it started when Kagiya Seizaemon, a bookkeeper, sold a ledger called "Daifukucho". The name "Daifuku-cho" was welcomed by the people of Edo, who wanted to bring good fortune.
Because of this episode, it is known as a lucky charm for prosperous business.
