鏡餅
鏡餅は、木製の台に、ふたつの餅を乗せ飾りつけをした、日本の正月飾りです。
新年の神様である歳神様の依り代で、お迎えしたこの神様の居場所が鏡餅です。
新年になると歳神様は、幸福や恵みとともに、わたしたちに魂を分けてくださると考えられてきました。その魂の象徴が鏡餅なのです。
飾りにはそれぞれ縁起を担いだ由来があり、飾り付けるものや飾り付け方は地方によって異なります。

It has been believed that the god of the New Year brings us happiness and blessings as well as his spirit. Kagamimochi is the symbol of this spirit.
